I received my order yesterday 12/7/09.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
The quality is what I expected. How
wonderful that I can give a gift that is
made in the USA. I want to thank you Mr. Killian, for all your help you gave me with my many questions. And to you and everyone at Lowell Thomas Tools, "HAPPY HOLIDAYS and MUCH CONTINUED SUCCESS!" I know the Jack Clamps will be a hit. Janet |
| I love the
clamps. You guys make an excellent
product and glad to see them being made
here in the USA!! Rob from Greeley, CO |
| "Lowell Thomas
Tools manufactures the Alpha JackClamp,
and this clamp does it all. The
JackClamp is set apart because it
features two parallel metal bars. Both
parallel bars are easily adjustable,
reversible and removable to tackle any
project."

| Quality
Construction "I was very impressed with the quality and durability of the JackClamp. It’s quite obvious the minute you pick up the jacks as they are quite heavy and very stiff. Many of the jacks on the market today are fairly light and flexible but not the JackClamp." See more of Todd's perceptive post and pictures here. Todd with Home Construction Improvement website |
| "I really enjoy
coming across tools that show thoughtful
engineering, a way of looking "outside
the box" that raises the bar on
conventional thinking. Such innovation
doesn't always come from companies that
are loaded with big budget engineering
departments. Sometimes they come from
passionate, small companies who simply
set out to build a better mousetrap.
The Lowell Thomas Tool company from Bozeman, Montana, has come up with just such a tool in the Alpha-Clamp. This one well-built bar clamp can also be used as a c-clamp, a spreader, a floor-standing clamp or jack and even a hanging lift. A truly innovative tool." (Read more of Chris' blog post here.) When I opened the box I actually
said to myself, "Just another clamp!"
Gee, was I wrong. I have used every type of clamp that is on the market and the "JackClamp" is the easiest to use ever. I have arthritis in my hands really bad and do not have much grip. I can clamp the "JackClamp" with one finger. Plus it is so versatile. The ways you can use it are unlimited. I find myself trying to find new uses everyday. I do not endorse any product until it proves itself. Well it took 5 minutes to prove itself and I would recommend the "JackClamp" above any clamp I have used in 55 years. None are better. The only improvement I see is if it came in a 4-foot length. If I had 4-foot long JackClamps, I would give all my clamps, including the pipe clamps away. I would not need them Roy |

"The Jack Clamp is like having 4 tools in
one! You have the standard clamp, you
have a spreader, you have a hoist for
lifting, and you have a level! It really
is the Alpha Clamp of all woodworking
clamps and comes with a 3 toed foot base
that glides on for use when hoisting
materials securely."

As a woodworker I am always on the look
out for new and easy to use clamps and
this clamp fits the bill perfectly, well
thought out design with many uses. This
clamp is a welcome addition to anyone's
workshop or garage. Tom (JackClamp Winner) |
| Gary says: "WOW, thanks!!! So far I love the clamps and have already told friends. They are so versatile and easy to use, are you considering making them available in longer length’s, or maybe offering just the main bar in longer lengths so they could be interchanged with the standard bars and used for wider glue-up’s or taller height applications? " |
| I got a couple of these burly beasts the other
day to do some cabinet installations. I reversed
one of the clamps into the spreader position to
hold the cabinet in place, then used the other
clamp normally to clamp the face frames
together. It sure made the solo install easier.
Three or four would have been ideal. Maybe next
time. Just don't drop one on your toe, these
things weigh a ton! Another thing that I liked was that the pads don't slip off of the jaws like the ones on the quick grips do. The instructions show all sorts of different configurations and both bars are easily reversible, just pull the trigger and set 'em up however you want. Very sturdy and versatile ......sure beats working with my brother-in-law! J. T. Whitefish "boat resurrectionist" Oregon |
| It's about time someone came out with a clamp as
useful as this one. Now I can reach those
awkward places without cutting a piece of wood
to use as a push block. I can't wait to get 10
more! Awesome product, I highly recommend it to anyone who uses tools (and it's Made in America!!! hard to find that kind of quality in today's market!!!). Clamp's anything better than quick grips! Anonymous Customer |
| AWESOME! Purchased several as unique gifts. Took a genius to come up with this one!!! Price is great and very reasonable for quality and multiple functions. Yamo7102 |
| Being in the custom construction and remodeling

ordered more, and recommend that everyone,
professional or hobbyist, purchase these
clamps. JB Custom Construction |

| I received my clamp and WOW. The videos don't
do it justice. I underestimated the real
strength and weight of the product. My
father-in-law was also impressed and plans on
ordering some as Christmas presents. The videos show how versatile a product it is, but, to truly appreciate one you have to pick it up and hold it with your own hands. The quality is also outstanding, the measuring lines line up perfectly (unlike a standard ruler that has a gap at one end before the measuring area lines up). Thank you again, I have already used it once (had to install a new oil filled hydraulic transmission mount in my car and I didn't have anything that could compress the new mount to install it, the Alpha JackClamp did the job in a matter of seconds AND only required one hand to do so). There must be a million or more uses for these JackClamps. Patrick |
| As you are aware UPS delivered the
Alpha JackClamp
yesterday. I must admit and mostly pleasantly,
that they are far more versatile and stout than
I anticipated. Great job on these clamps. Thanks for all your assistance, that was above and beyond. Greg Gibbons |
| Used your clamp today to secure a piece of
molding that had came loose on a wall in the RV.
Rather than holding the molding in place until
the glue dried (ever waited on Elmer's to dry?)
or driving finish nails that would look tacky, I changed the clamp to the offset position, set the clamp against a door jam and the molding piece and left. When I returned the glue was dry and the molding piece fixed. LTA-----D & N |

| This is the best tool in my work shop. It is
an amazing product and does everything you could
want it to do. I have demonstrated this tool to
some of my friends and they are just amazed at its versatility. If one will work good, two will
really be even better as there are so many tasks
that you need additional clamps, It is a super
product. Paul Otto |

| As a structural steel detailer with twenty
years of experience in the steel fabrication
sub-contracting business, I have observed the
processes used in the assembly of structural
steel components for buildings by steel
fabricators throughout the state of California.
In both the shop and in the field, it is necessary to fit items together by use of a clamp for tack welding prior to finish welding. Many fabricators use "C" clamps to achieve this endeavor. Unfortunately, in the process of tack welding these items together, the "C" clamp inevitably builds up "dingle-berries" - little balls of spattered metal on the threads of the "C" clamp, and the clamp becomes useless until they are cleaned, a time-laborious process. The "C" clamp also has limitations in the throat of the clamp making it necessary to use very large and heavy clamps for the light duty of holding small components of steel to deep steel members such as wide flange beams, channel or angle iron shapes which have long flanges. The Alpha JackClamp designed by Lowell Thomas Tool, Inc. has the unique ability to fill the needs of steel fabricators and the average handy man because it has the ability to reach around these deep cross-sections of steel to hold items together. Another wonderful aspect of the Alpha JackClamp is that the cleaning of the "dingle-berries" with a quick swipe of a grinder saves valuable time in a very competitive industry. In addition, it would be unnecessary to have a huge selection of "C" clamps in reach of the industrious laborer when a smaller selection of Alpha JackClamps would satisfy a greater variety of uses at a huge savings of weight which would be greatly appreciated by those who use them. I believe, given the selection of clamps on the market today, the Alpha JackClamp designed by Lowell Thomas Tool, Inc. would obviously be, by prospective consumers, superior to other clamps and Alpha JackClamp would be the one to buy. | As a farmer, mechanic and do-it-yourself
carpenter for 30 years, I've used practically
every type of clamp made to repair equipment,
build trailers and truck beds and remodel our
home. After seeing the design of the Alpha JackClamp, I believe Lowell Thomas Tool, Inc.
has finally designed a clamp that will work
effectively. The deeper throat of the Alpha JackClamp, which is created by the parallel bar design, will hold products much straighter, along with allowing clamping over the top of a piece rather than just squeezing it like a vice. Having the ability to convert this tool into a spreader or jack further enhances its' uniqueness. With the addition of a longer bar, the Alpha JackClamp will easily replace the clumsy pipe clamp that I currently use for long reaches. The simple leaf spring design of the Alpha JackClamp allows it to be configured in an unlimited array of versatile applications. Irvin O. Odegard Odegard Harvesting |
| As a wood shop
owner and building contractor for the
past 30 years, I have run through my
share of clamps and am always searching
for new and better ideas.
The Alpha JackClamp
design by Lowell Thomas Tool, Inc.
accommodates skilled needs with flat
surfaces for clamping, considerable "C"
distance for deep-throat clamping and
built in tape measures on both sides.
The quick and easy mechanism makes the
Alpha JackClamp possible to function as
a multi-tool. The locking design allows
for both spreading and jacking actions.

| As a twenty five
year multi-medium artist and
craftswoman, I find the Alpha JackClamp by Lowell Thomas Tool, Inc.
to be just what I need in my work area -
it's what I've been waiting for! The
deep throat allows me to use my air
tools on frames without the impediment
of a clamp that's too close to the
joints. The fact that it reverses allows
me to accurately spread my casting
forms. This Alpha JackClamp is definitely a given in my shop - In fact, I have several (the four pack is a great deal)!!! Carol Calabrese, Owner "Do Me A Pretty Favor, Please!" |
| The first time I
saw the Alpha JackClamp I was very
impressed. I could imagine 100's of uses
for such a versatile tool. As a farmer
for 40 years, a property manager for 15
- among others - I have looked for and
tried all sorts of contrivances, from
home-made to store bought. Looking back,
recalling a time I helped design and
build a separating plant for an open
mining project, it was more trial and
error than mining. The Alpha JackClamp would have been under lock and key! To have had an extra hand while working with the steel braces, bucket elevators, separators', etc., I would have been able to be on a ladder without the benefit of an extra body...what a treasure it would have been! The Alpha JackClamp is one of the best tools I've ever seen. It's one that even a good neighbor will have to "sign out"!!! Dave Stevens |
| When you are right in the middle of an
important job, the last thing that you need is a
tool that won't work like you want it to.
Versatility can make or break a project and
Alpha JackClamp is the most adaptable clamp that
I've found. The JackClamp can do it all, without
all of the time-consuming hassles of the other
clamping tools that I've used in the past.
The Alpha JackClamp does what the others can't! Jason Thomas, Cabinetmaker |
| I have used other clamps with the pistol grip
handle and had not been able to find one that
would not slip or twist when under full hand
pressure. The JackClamp does
neither of these things and is very easy
to use. I find it very versatile and
compact which is perfect for us as we
live and work out of our R.V. full time.
This is one of the handiest investments
we have made. Jeff & Dee Yukon, Canada |
